Overview
This unit aimed to provide skills in the design development process, analogue and digital modelling and CAD surface modelling techniques. Students were introduced to NURBS-based CAD software to enhance and enable 3D ideation skills. The unit focused on concept exploration, design visualisation and modelling. The skills developed enabled the development of free-form and organic shapes for product evaluation. A thorough examination of materials, processes and how they are applied across various design disciplines, were explored across a range of applicable design projects.
